Senate Finance Committee to hold nomination hearing for Assistant Secretary of Treasury post

The Senate Finance Committee will hold a nomination hearing on Thursday, April 10 at 10:00 am to consider two nominees, including that of Kenneth Kies to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.

If confirmed by the full Senate, Kies will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing federal tax policies and programs. He will play a key role facilitating the extension of expiring tax cuts in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (P.L. 115-97), and in developing additional tax legislation affecting individuals and businesses.

The Finance Committee will also consider William Kimmitt to be Under Secretary for Commerce for International Trade.
